2 sticks butter (1 cup), room temp.
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cups flour
3 cups uncooked old-fashioned or quick oats
1 bag (11 1/2 oz.) semisweet chocolate mega-morsels or 1 bag (10oz) milk chocolate mini kisses
1. Heat oven to 350. Have cookie sheets ready.
2. In large bowl with mixer on high speed, beat butter, sugars eggs, vanilla, baking soda and salt until well-blended. Reduce mixer speed to low and beat in flour just until blended. Stir in oats and chocolate. Drop rounded Tbsps about 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, then remove to a wire rack to cool.
